Arkaika’s vision is to be the one of largest coffee retailers in the market, introducing and developing the ideology of a unique coffee that unifies all of our consumers. We want to break social barriers and provide our customers with high quality coffee. This will be done by selecting the best coffee crops, and carrying out an eco-friendly process that facilitates coffee harvesting and benefits the planet.
Our mission is to unify the different social groups, recognizing their differences and surpassing them through a unique coffee, with a genuine texture and an exquisite flavor. We will provide each of our clients the fascinating experiences that each of them deserves in every coffee bean.
The name of our brand, “Arkaika”, comes from the word “Archaic”, which references the second prehistoric period of America. This period was characterized by the emergence of new ideologies that left behind the old tendencies. The human being transitioned from nomadic to establish a society in a new territory. With this fascinating name we want to highlight the unification of people, the mutual support from one to another in order to improve the community, and the rise and development of new ideas. Our goal as a team is to create a culture among our customers based on the principle of union, creating innovative links by providing our consumers with a superior-quality product worthy of their taste. We want to represent the archaic period as a metaphor, in which the purity of the earth is highlighted. A period in which the world was not affected by the pollution, and where the purest things came from the richness of the earth. We want to make known a coffee that has been worked from the smallest detail and of course there is no better place to start than the land in which it is planted.
Arkaika was born as an idea of four Colombians, with the motivation and the desire to solve a problem which was affecting the different cultures living in a foreign country. Toronto has been always considered one of the most multicultural places in the world; however, the Arkaika team realized that there are exclusion gaps in our society created by the misinformation and the wrong assumptions some people might have about each different culture. Arkaika decided to generate a change in people’s perceptions showing that what join us has more value that what makes us different. We see this reflected in coffee, since it is the result of a wonderful story full of love and passion that everyone in the globe is familiar with. Its process reveals the values we want to highlight in today’s world, since the small details are the ones that lead to the biggest impacts and results. We know that the journey has just began, but from the very first moment that this idea was brought to light, we have encountered the help and support of many people that feel the same way that us, and we hope that you can fall in love with the idea as well. This has motivated us to keep the hard work and dedication to make sure we reach the best standards of quality as possible, always bringing our customers a cup full of flavor and tradition.
